Involved in politics for more than a decade, Hayley Dierker most recently worked as chief of staff and chief operating officer for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in Washington, DC. In addition to her work in government, Hayley Dierker helped with the Truman National Security Project.
As a nonprofit organization, the Truman National Security Project consists of leaders seeking to serve the country after the events of 9/11. These members include more than 1,700 post-9/11 veterans, policy experts, politicians, and frontline civilians. They remain committed to shaping and advocating for strong national security solutions. Along with its sister organization, the Truman Center for National Policy, the Truman National Security Project brings members together with advisors to help fulfill its mission.
Each year, the organization and the Truman Center for National Policy combine to host TruCon, which is the annual conference. With a theme of Send Your Mission, TruCon2017 took place from June 23 through 25 at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center. The name of the conference came from the motto observed by the 129th Field Artillery Regiment, which was Harry Truman’s own Army unit. Regardless of how tough its enemies were, the 129th Regiment fought because it believed in its cause.
